For remote teams

A team social that fits in a 60-minute calendar hold

Escape games for teams spread from Halifax to Victoria. One host, breakout rooms, no software to install and no icebreaker questions.

Two ways to run it

Self-run, free. Book a call, pick The Lighthouse Keeper or Midnight at the Museum, have one person share the tab. Works for up to four people in a call, or split into teams on separate calls and compare times afterward. Nothing to buy and nothing to tell us.

Hosted, from our studio. A host from Homer Street joins your call, opens with a two-minute briefing, splits you into breakout teams of three or four, and drops in with hints and heckles. Teams race the same game; the host keeps score on a shared board and runs a five-minute debrief at the end. Sixty minutes door to door, because that is what your calendar allows.

Time zones, honestly

We are in Vancouver. For a team spread across the country, the window that works is 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Pacific, which is 1:00 p.m. in Toronto and 2:00 p.m. in Halifax: late enough for the west coast to have had coffee, early enough that Atlantic colleagues are not playing at supper. Friday sessions fill first; Wednesday afternoons are the quiet ones.

What a hosted hour looks like

  1. 0:00 — Briefing

Host joins, explains the room and the hint rules, and splits the call into teams. Cameras on is encouraged, never required.

  2. 0:05 — Teams play

Each breakout room shares one screen and works through the game. The host hops between rooms with a hint budget of three per team.

  3. 0:45 — Final puzzle

Rooms merge. Each team brings one answer to a shared closing puzzle that needs all of them.

  4. 0:55 — Debrief

Times, hints used, one genuinely useful observation per team about how they communicated. Then back to work.

Pricing

$180.00 CAD per hosted session up to 12 people · BC organizations: $201.60 including 5% GST and 7% PST

We invoice after the session by email. No card details are ever entered on this site. Self-run play of the browser games costs nothing, at any team size.

Who books this

Small companies with a Vancouver office and a "we're remote now" reality. Non-profits doing a year-end thank-you. A federal team with people in five provinces who had never seen each other laugh. The pattern is the same: they wanted an hour that felt like a shared room, and a quiz was not it.

In-person teams welcome too

If your team is actually in one room, the Cabin Fever Kit is the better fit: a printable, 90-minute party game for four to ten people that runs off a boardroom table and a pair of scissors. We can also host it in person within Metro Vancouver; ask on the contact form.

Team questions

How many people can a team session hold?

Up to 12 in one call, split into teams of three or four in breakout rooms. Larger groups run as two back-to-back sessions.

Which video app do you use?

Yours. We join whatever your team already uses; we do not host video ourselves. A host from our studio shares the game and narrates.

What does a hosted session cost?

$180.00 CAD per session of up to 12 people. For BC organizations that is $201.60 with 5% GST and 7% PST. We invoice by email after the session; there is no checkout on this site. Self-run play of the browser games is free.
