Terms of use
These terms cover mapleescapeplay.com, the browser games on it, and the printable kits we send by email. Last updated 3 September 2026.
Who you are dealing with
Maple Escape Play Studio Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, with its office at Suite 410, 1090 Homer Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2W9. "We" and "us" mean that company. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not, please do not use it.
The browser games
The browser games, including the demo, are provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial play. You may play them at home, on a video call with friends and family, or with colleagues. You may not copy, mirror, reverse-engineer, or embed them in another site or product, and you may not charge others to play them.
Printable kits
When we send you a kit PDF, we grant you a personal licence to print and play it for your own household, party or single workplace event, as many times as you like. You may not resell it, share the file publicly, post the puzzles or answers online, or use it to run paid events. The kit remains our copyright.
Where a price is listed for a kit or a hosted session, it is in Canadian dollars and excludes GST and PST, which are shown separately for British Columbia. Invoices are sent by email; this site does not take payments.
Hosted team sessions
Bookings are confirmed by email. You may reschedule up to 48 hours before the start time at no charge. Cancellations within 48 hours are invoiced in full. We may reschedule in case of illness or an outage, in which case no charge applies until the session has run.
Content and conduct
Messages sent through the contact form must not be abusive, unlawful or spam. We may decline to respond to messages that are.
No warranty
The games and site are provided as they are. We test carefully but cannot promise they will be free of errors or available at every moment. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or the games. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the BC Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.
Intellectual property
All stories, puzzles, illustrations, text and code on this site belong to us. The maple leaf and keyhole mark is ours. You may quote short excerpts for review or commentary with a link back.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes are brought in the courts of British Columbia.
